Boulevard Veterinary

Logan Square's Boulevard Veterinary is a boutique animal care practice where Dr. Frederickson DVM wanted to create an inviting space.  Natural tones and mid-century detailing provides a comfortable place where pet parents and pets can both enjoy the experience.

Damen Residence

A lofted Wicker Park Client was looking for a functional and modern aesthetic for the Kitchen of a once drum warehouse building.  Neutral tones and stainless steel accents allow the small space to have a large impact.  Tractor Stools in a walnut finish, waterfall edge counters, and the Bola Pendant provide simple and effective unique touches.

Demming  Residence

The Lincoln Park client was looking for an update for a vintage building kitchen.  Expansion to include an island provided an open concept along with rearrangement to improve functionality of the room. Staying true to the home, classic design details were integrated to keep the character and charm along with modern touch.

Living Wood Wall

Natural wood with curving elements adorn this Finanical Firms' Reception and Conference walls. The goal was to add a modern touch with the classic beauty that wood provides. Some of the curves have room for living greenery, an element soon to be added. Thank you again for MP Custom Made for their craftsmanship!

Display Gridwall and Base

Teaming up with Lincoln Park's premier design atelier, Urban Environments, a custom display gridwall and base was designed. The Gridwall has movable shelves to allow the studio to provide inspiritational and functional displays for their clientele. The base serves as a solid structure to hold various wallpaper books. Magnolia Residence

The Magnolia Residence is a rennovation project for a client that was interested modernizing his lofted Living and Dining Room, Master Bedroom, Kitchen, and Library area. Creating a gathering space to spend time with family and friends was the main objective in the lofted space and used natural textures to create the look. A custom designed sectional was crafted locally in Chicago to create a dramatic and comfortable piece that would provide the grounded yet refined look for the space.

Orchard Residence

The Orchard Residence was a project for a young couple moving into a Lincoln Park Greystone. The goal for the design was to provide new furnishings for each of the areas of the home as well as remodeling the Guest Bathroom and Kitchen. A balance of new and modern pieces were used with pieces that provided a refined rustic feel to keep a sense of comfort for the family and their guests.

LID at Nest Furniture

LID teamed up with Nest Furniture (2707 N Clark Street, Chicago) for their Nest Sweet Nest Event in May 2012. LID designed a vignette to showcase the unique and worldly pieces that are the concept of showroom. The dining and sitting area were created with the idea that people should have a choice of where they may sit to enjoy an evening full of entertaining. Since several different wood species were used, only a few bright colors were integrated to create folcal points in the space. The paint detailing was also integrated to showcase the height of the ceiling and bring interest into the space.

Wilmette Residence

The Family Room and Kitchen is one of the most important places in the modern family home. This is the area the that a family celebrates the holidays, eats the majority of their meals, and a place that they can just be together.

The goal for the space was to keep a light and airy feel by using a blend of light colored furniture pieces and a varied selection of armed and armless seating to allow for movement and a sense of lightness. Pieces were chosen based on their traditional core with a modern edge allowing for comfort and everyday living.

All work has been completed while working with Urban Environments, a design atelier in Lincoln Park Chicago: www.urbanenvironments.com

Wicker Park Residence

The concept for this project was to create a sophisticated bachleor pad with the finishing touches of a semi-opaque roman shade and floating shelves for the living room. The flat style roman shade allows the timeless geometric pattern to be uninterrupted bringing a sense of privacy to the space while balancing the classic Noguchi Table. The floating shelves bring the look of simplicity with the use of reclaimed wood in a natural finish. If you look closely you can see where the nail holes use to be evoking the look of warehouse loft space complete with the brick wall maintaing the original interegrity of the building.
